Just Another Lil' Blood Libel In Leftard Land

There's apparently a particularly nasty Left wing blog out there that goes by the moniker of 'Jesus' General. ' And like a lot of the Left, he's shocked, simply shocked that those uppity Jews in Israel would take steps to defend themselves from anyone transporting who knows what to Hamas, via one of those cute flotillas:

As boatloads of American humanitarianofascists, including Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein, and the Obamishly hued novelist/poet Alice Walker, steam toward Gaza, one proud GOP operative, Josh Trevino, assures Israel:
Dear IDF: If you end up shooting any Americans on the new Gaza flotilla -- well, most Americans are cool with that. Including me.
That's what I call thinking out of the box. I mean, hey, when American citizens get all uppity about human rights--ask a foreign power to murder them. {...}

But then, I guess Mr. Trevino doesn't deserve all the credit for giving Israel's Likud government the go ahead to slaughter American citizens. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and I assume her boss, is giving the IDF a wink as well:
There will be construction materials entering Gaza and we think that it’s not helpful for there to be flotillas that try to provoke actions by entering into Israeli waters and creating a situation in which the Israelis have the right to defend themselves.
So there you go, IDF. You have the right to shoot 86-year-old Heda Epstein in order to defend your borders from uppity humanitarianofascists bearing food, medicine, and embarrassment.

Damn those murdering, evil Joooos!

I'll tell you what...as far as I'm concerned, and considering that these creeps support a genocidal, Jew hating group like Hamas, the civilized world could do without them very nicely.

After all, the blockade was established after Hamas began shooting missiles at Israeli civilians and was designed to keep Iranian heavy weapons out of Hamas' hands. Not that 'Jesus' General' gives a rip about that.

But the fact is, no one's likely to be killed. What the IDF will do is what they always do - warn them in several languages that they're entering a closed military zone and tell them to proceed into port so whatever 'humanitarian supplies' they brought can be unloaded and sent to Gaza legally.

That's unless these 'peace activists' attack the IDF troops when they try to board like the goons on the Mavi Marmara did.

Just for the record, the 'humanitarian crisis' is sheer bolshoi. Gaza's stores are fully stocked, and a brand new shopping mall and a number of resorts and restaurants have opened up and are doing a thriving business.

But there is something I'd like to ask this 'Jesus' General'....what do you think Jesus would think about someone like you that defames His people?

Not that you'd care, of course.

please donate...it helps me write more gooder!

I proudly join with Josh Trevino (JG's target in this piece) on this one -- http://rhymeswithright.mu.nu/archives/318065.ph -- especially given the clearly stated intent of the flotilla participants to attack (and if possible kill) IDF engaged in blockade enforcement operations. When you aid and abet terrorists, the consequences are on your own head.

God speed the flotilla -- straight to the bottom of the Mediterranean.

I've always thought they should just heavily mine the sea entrances to Gaza and post that fact clearly on a few floating buoys.

'Bring it on, jihadi wannabes. And if you happen to hit a mine and become fish food, insh'allah!'

Rob

Why would a holocaust survivor who survived one attempted genocide want to offer any kind of support to someone attempting another genocide? He is 86 perhaps he is misinformed of what is happening here. Maybe he is senile. Maybe he suffers from an acute case of something I've heard referred to as the "Stockholm Syndrone."

"Dear IDF: if you end up shooting any Americans on the new Gaza flotilla -- well most Americans are cool with that including me."

Why would any Americans be on this flotilla? There are many hungry people in America who need clothes and food. Why not organize a flotilla of some type for these desparate people. While this would do far more good than sending a flotilla to Gaza, there isn't any glamor or publicity for helping Americans even though Americans need it far more than Arabs living in Gaza do. I think media publicity has allot to do with this. Also, the IDF is overly humane. As such, there is very little actual risk to the people on the flotilla.

Also, when civilian contractors and other Americans are killed in Iraq or Afghanistan, people like this had no problem with it. Why are American lives suddenly important? In the case of civilian contractors, they may be meddling in areas they don't understand or have any business in. The same applies to Americans on a floatilla to Gaza. They are meddling in an area they have no business meddling in. As such, it should come as no surprise that it would have a bad ending for them.

"Gaza's stores are fully stocked, and a brand new shopping mall and a number of resorts and restaurants have opened up and are doing a thriving business." The economy in Gaza is better than the economy in America right now and the people of Gaza have a far better lifestyle than those living in America. As such, the people who really need a floatilla of aid right now are Americans. Of course media elites have decided that American lives are worth less than Arab lives. No glamour in helping Americans. As such, no floatillas for Americans.

Btw, I like your idea of mining the sea around Gaza. I'm thinking we may need to keep something like in mind in case we need to do it here in America.

Actually, she's not a Holocaust survivor, if we're talking about having experienced the death camps.

She was one of ten thousand children who were refugees in Britain during the war. And a relentless self-promoter.

Rob,

Thanks for the additional information on Ms. Epstein. When I think "holocaust survivor", I think of someone who experienced the death camps. I think I can say with a high degree of probability that when most Americans think "holocaust survivor" they are thinking of someone who experienced the death camps. Essentially the author of the blog you referenced mislead his readers.

As for a relentless self promoter, I would suspect you are right. There is no easier way to gain fame and fortune than to take the anti-Israel issue. Now if someone really wanted to do some good, I'd suggest some type of flotilla or something along the same concept for America. Given the comcept, some type of convoy of trucks to deliver aid might be the way to go. The areas that need it most are likely in the inner cities and the countryside. Attempts to deliver aid to the inner cities would be extremely difficult. Inner city gangs would likely attempt to steal the aid. Delivering the adi to the people who need in the country side is a huge logistical challenge, On top of this, while Americans clearly need the aid far more than Arabs living in Gaza do, there is no glamour or glory for anyone in doing this.

Delivering aid to Gaza is an almost no risk proposition. Unlike American street gangs the IDF will not shoot you unless you shoot at them first or otherwise threaten them or Israeli citizens. Also, Israel has an effieince delivery system to get the aid to those who need it. This greatly reduces the cost for the organizers of the "floatilla." Also, there's huge media coverage.

I know that guy, he's from Utah, and I follow him on Twitter. I've had a few exchanges with him. Just a few days ago we got into it over one of his pet peeves, racism. I reminded him of the Democrat Party racist history, and how its continued in evolved form up to the present time. He insists he's not prejudiced against Clarence Thomas because he's black, but because he's a crook-a charge he never bothered to elucidate. Some people are just beyond all hope or reason.
